What happens during the Student Assessment?
The student assessment is completely free and conducted live on Microsoft Teams. We evaluate your child's current syllabus knowledge, review school tests, work through diagnostic exam questions live on an interactive whiteboard, and provide a clear roadmap and study plan to reach their target grade.
Who will be teaching the lessons?
Every 1-on-1 session is taught directly by Sehaj. You and your child will work directly with him from day one.
Is there any payment or commitment required for the assessment?
No, the assessment is 100% free with zero obligation. It is designed to give you an accurate diagnostic of where your child stands and what is needed to secure top grades.
How does ongoing tuition work after the assessment?
Following your assessment, you can choose to continue with weekly 1-on-1 tuition or our structured small group classes using our flexible lesson packages. All digital whiteboard notes from the assessment are yours to keep regardless of whether you continue.
Is my selected time slot confirmed right away?
The time you pick on the calendar is your preferred window. Our team will contact you via WhatsApp and email to confirm the exact date and time.
Which exam boards and levels do you teach?
Sehaj covers all major UK exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR for GCSE (including GCSE Further Maths) and A-Level maths, further maths, and sciences. Lessons are closely tailored to the specific syllabus and marking schemes of your child's board.
How do 1-on-1 private lessons work?
1-on-1 lessons run online for 60 minutes. They are tailored entirely to your child's pace, focusing on their specific weak areas, breaking down difficult theory, and working through actual past paper questions step-by-step.
How do group classes work?
Group classes run in small, focused sets structured by subject and exam tier. They follow a weekly syllabus covering key curriculum topics, interactive problem solving, and exam-style questions, offering a collaborative learning environment at an affordable hourly rate.
What happens after each lesson?
After every session, students receive the annotated lesson notes and targeted practice questions to complete. Parents are also kept updated on progress, areas covered, and what the student needs to focus on next.
Do parents need to attend the assessment?
Parents are warmly encouraged to join at the beginning and end of the assessment so we can discuss target grades, review our findings together, and agree on an academic action plan.
